New York City Workshop Cast

Congratulations to the members of Academy Encore Ensemble, who, after intense professional auditions, were cast as the New York City Workshop Cast of "Gimme Shelter".  “Gimme Shelter” is an original musical written by Dina Sarno Slawson featuring the music of The Rolling Stones, which is now being directed and choreographed by Broadway professionals.

Workshopping a show is the first step that all major original productions must take before going to the next level of professional theatre.  Members of the cast will be rehearsing both in Buffalo and New York City as they prepare to perform for professional producers and theatre audiences. Every show you have ever seen at Sheas and on Broadway started in a workshop environment.

For this show and the members of AEE to be chosen to take this next level is an incredibly unique and elite honor in the theatre world.
