Academy Performance Group is a tween/teen performance group created to promote confidence, self-esteem and cultural awareness through theatre as well as training and performing in all genres of acting, vocal performance and dance. It serves as a venue to allow those who truly want a more intensive theatre environment the opportunity to train, rehearse, and perform at a much higher level than academy weekly classes while serving as a feeder program for Academy Encore Ensemble, our elite college preparatory theatre company. APG members will be split into several smaller performance groups based on age and talent level. APG members will be showcased and perform in several productions throughout the ATA academy production weekends, character education theatre productions in WNY schools, The National Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. APG will also be performing their own full length production in March 2012.
The first two months of APG will be intense workshop style training to see where each individual performing artist needs to be placed. Even though they are young, APG performing artists will be expected to be extremely dedicated and professional. They must understand that intensive training and expectations will be placed upon the group at all times to prepare them not only for the performance opportunities they will be involved in for the 2011/2012 season, but the future as well.
It is our belief that it is only after the stage goes dark when the world discovers just how good of a "performer" you really are....
When you are a member of Academy Performance Group, theatre is a platform. A platform to achieve anything and everything you strive for and dream of…as long as you are willing to work hard, have passion, and be committed!
THE APG PERFORMING ARTIST WILL:
- ALWAYS put school academics FIRST!
- Have a true passion for theatre and performing and NOT for being a STAR!
- Understand and accept that I WILL NOT TOLERATE egos and unnecessary drama!
Students have been asked to leave and/or not asked to come back because of egos, lack of respect for their fellow performers and lack of passion for this program.
- Understand that the decisions of the director must be respected by APG members and parents and scenes, musical numbers, groups, etc. are cast based on what is best for the company as a whole and the vision of the director.
- Let us know your conflicts ahead of time!! Please do not call the box office 15 minutes before rehearsal to say you will not be coming. And if you miss, you MUST let us know!!!
- Understand that the ONLY extra-curricular school activities/ commitments that we will make accommodations/exceptions for are the following:
~School concerts and academic based activities
~Religious Commitments
- If you CONTINUALLY miss rehearsals and/or show a lack of commitment and dedication to the program, you will be cast or “recast” accordingly and in some cases you will be asked to leave!

AEE MONTHLY TUITION: $160.00
(September-June)
Due to our monthly expenses and due dates, all tuitions are due by the
5th of each month.
Tuitions not received by the 15th, will have a late fee of
$5.00 applied (no exceptions).
PRODUCTION CHARGE:
A $55.00 production charge will be due on November 10th for the ATA school showcase winter production.
A $55.00 production charge will be due on March 10th for the ATA school showcase spring production
In the past, there has been some confusion about what the production fee is used for. The production fee is NOT just a costume fee, but covers all costs incurred while putting a show together. This includes technical expenses and crew, set construction, props, program printing, extra in-house administrative fees, licensing rights for music, etc. Costumes are a very small part of the package. Any extra costs not covered by the fee are sustained by ATA.
MONTHLY PAYMENT OPTIONS:
A monthly invoice will be sent home one week prior to tuition due date unless you have your tuition deducted from our credit card system available at the ATA Box Office. You may give us your credit card number, and your card will be automatically charged for your ATA fees on the first of each month. We strongly recommend this option. The credit card can be used for all ticket and production fees as well. All Credit cards will be charged on the 1st of each month. If you do not wish to use the credit card option, your monthly invoice may be paid by check or cash and be mailed to:
